IB: An education for the future

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) provides students with a curriculum that is universally accepted by higher education institutions

IB programmes are demanding for the learner, but also for the training and assessment of teachers, who are provided with high quality professional development activities, innovative educational frameworks and pedagogy recognised by the world's most prestigious universities.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a model for the future that develops students' key competencies for academic, professional and personal success, enabling them to achieve their goals in a national and international context. It encourages students to think independently and lead their own learning, helps them to be aware of cultural differences and enables them to relate to others in an increasingly globalised and changing world.

The path to the IB Continuum

In order to obtain Continuum accreditation, the Agora International School family of schools is authorised to teach at least one International Baccalaureate® (IB) programme in all its schools, whether it be the Diploma Programme (DP) at the Baccalaureate stage, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the second cycle of Pre-school and the Primary stage, or the Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Secondary stage, incorporating their methodologies according to the demanding criteria of the International Baccalaureate®.
