Multilingualism
At Agora International School we prepare pupils for an international future without limits or barriers.We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, which allows pupils to master the official languages of their place of residence along with English, French, German or Mandarin Chinese, depending on the particular school.
In each country or region we respect and work on the particular linguistic project to give the same number of sessions in each of the vehicular languages.
Linguistic immersion
As part of our educational project and in order to make it as comprehensive as possible, we believe that language immersion at Preschool stage is of vital importance for early learning of any language. Starting with English, we gradually introduce Mandarin Chinese and, later on, we can choose between French or German.
In terms of qualifications, pupils can take exams at some of our centres to obtain official qualifications from Trinity College London or Cambridge University (English), the Goethe Institute (German) and the Confucius Institute (Mandarin Chinese), as well as DELF certificates (French).
Cultural exchanges and stays
To complement our school-based language program, students can enjoy a range of overseas exchanges and cultural visits in England, Wales, Ireland, France, Portugal, Austria, Norway and the USA. Students from all years are given the opportunity to participate in an exchange trip to any of these countries for a period of one month, one or two terms, or a full school year. In addition, Globeducate's extensive network of schools allows students to participate each year in international events with students from other countries and cultures.
